Twitter rolls out Header Photo with new Profile design
Twitter Gets New Head(er)
Twitter rolled out Header Photos on Tuesday, launching their NEW Profile page design…
Starting this week you can make your presence on Twitter more meaningful with new Twitter profiles. Upload an all-new Header Photo (similar to Facebook’s Cover Photo) on twitter.com, and on mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Android. The same image will appear whenever anyone views your profile on the web or these apps. Your new header photo will appear above your Tweets, expressing yourself instantly, anywhere.
You will still also have an additional photo – a background photo – on twitter.com. So ensure that you upload a background image to complement your new header photo!
Here’s how to get your Header Photo loaded –
Log in to Twitter, and click on the gear icon in the top right corner. A drop-down menu will appear. Select Settings.
On the next screen, you’ll see a menu of options on your left. Click Design.
Scroll down to the ‘Customize your own’ section and select Change header.
*Note the image size requirements – the preferred dimensions are 1200×600, and the maximum file size is 5MB.
Upload your image, and simply drag the photo into the positioning you like, then zoom in and out to your heart’s content. When you like the look of your new Twitter profile header photo, hit Save.
And that’s it, you are done!
